Regarding
Fragrances/Colognes Due to dangerous allergic/asthmatic
reactions which some students and staff experience when
exposed to fragrances, please do not allow your student to
bring perfumes or colognes to school. These substances pose
a health hazard to some people so we ask that they not be
brought to school. Your help with this matter is
appreciated. If a student makes the poor choice to bring a
fragrance and spray it in school, consequences will be
given. A Time To Re-visit
Expectations Most of our students seem to have cell
phones and/or other electronic devices and they bring them
to school. We recognize that fact and want to be as
understanding as possible. They can however, be an
incredible disruption to the school and the education
process when misused. Certain responsibilities come with
their ownership and use. Some examples of misuse that have
all recently happened: Texting across the building, or
the same room, to other students during the school day We ask that if these devices are
brought to school it is with the understanding that they
will be turned off and kept out of sight, in the locker,
until the end of the day. Students having one on their
person or otherwise using a device will be asked to give it
to the adult who sees it. If that happens, the problem is
solved. If not, it may result in disciplinary action. For
continued abuse of the rules concerning cell phones and
other electronic devices we reserve the right to ban
individual students from possessing any such device for any
period up to the rest of the school year. Parents/Guardians: Please help us with
this growing problem by reinforcing with your Jardine
student the responsibilities that come with ownership of
these devices. 274-6330 Jardine's main
